When staying in Glaris, decide whether the airport car is taking you to accommodation or to meet someone at a mountain facility. The two plans may share a place name but require different stopping points. Start with a complete address, then add any onward activity as a separate request rather than leaving it implicit.

Name the actual endpoint

The official Davos information connects Glaris with the Rinerhorn valley station near its railway station. That makes these places useful orientation points, but not substitutes for a guesthouse or apartment address. Tell Airportcab which destination is intended. If someone is collecting you for an onward stay, obtain their telephone number and the agreed meeting location. Ask whether their plan changes outside normal operating hours or after a delayed flight. The airport transfer can then be arranged around a real handover instead of a vague instruction to meet near the lifts.

Keep mountain transport outside the car assumption

An airport car reservation covers the agreed road journey. It does not include lift tickets, mountain transport or permission to use restricted roads. If accommodation requires another connection, confirm that connection directly with its provider and allow for the time needed to move bags. Check current operating information for the date of travel, particularly if arrival is late in the day. Do not plan a car arrival against the final possible connection without discussing what would happen if the flight, baggage collection or road journey takes longer.

Arrange the luggage handover

Think about how each bag moves from the car to the accommodation or onward transport. Ski bags, bulky backpacks and pushchairs may need more handling than ordinary cases. Declare them in the transfer request, and ask the onward provider whether it has its own limits. Pack essentials separately if the larger luggage will travel by another arrangement. A car's seating capacity does not establish space for every equipment combination; the operator needs the complete load before confirming the appropriate vehicle.

Choose a departure point that will work

When returning to Zurich Airport, use a road-accessible pickup point that you can reach reliably with all luggage. If you need a lift, local bus or host transfer first, confirm that leg and include a sensible margin before car collection. Provide the flight number and explain any deadline connected with special airport assistance or oversized baggage. If your meeting point changes during the stay, send the revised location for confirmation. A clear return brief avoids leaving the driver and passengers waiting at different ends of the same local facility.

If someone meets you with equipment

Clarify whether equipment is being delivered to the accommodation or handed over at another road location. A delivery appointment should not be silently added to the airport itinerary. Share the agreed meeting place, contact and expected handling time when requesting the stop, and obtain confirmation before coordinating the two services around it.
