A concierge can help make an arrival straightforward, provided everyone knows who has booked the car and what is confirmed. If you arrange Airportcab separately from the hotel, tell reception that transport is already being coordinated. Then share the practical arrival information needed to connect the car journey with the accommodation handover.

Establish one booking owner

A traveller, assistant and hotel can each believe someone else is arranging the transfer. Choose one person to submit the request and approve the quotation. Tell the hotel whether you need only entrance advice or help with another part of the arrival. Do not assume that mentioning a flight in a hotel message has created a car reservation. Keep the transport confirmation and the hotel confirmation as separate records. The arrival plan should identify the actual operator, lead passenger, date, flight and property address in one clear summary.

Ask reception for specific information

The most useful questions concern the passenger entrance, lawful unloading point, reception hours for your stay and any temporary access arrangement. Ask about an annexe or separate residence if your room is not in the main building. For properties on the Davos Promenade, current local event information can matter; official destination notices describe temporary traffic changes during some events. Do not generalise those past arrangements to every day. Ask for instructions that apply to your own arrival date and send them to Airportcab before travel.

Coordinate help without assuming it is included

If someone needs assistance with steps, heavy luggage or moving between an alternative stopping point and reception, arrange that assistance with the appropriate provider. Describe the practical need to the transfer team as well so vehicle suitability can be reviewed. A concierge's willingness to help does not automatically mean a driver has unrestricted access to a private entrance. Likewise, an airport transfer is not a guarantee of room readiness or luggage storage. Confirm these accommodation services directly rather than leaving them as unstated expectations.

Share changes through the responsible coordinator

When the flight, hotel or passenger list changes, send a concise revised brief to the parties affected. Mark what changed, rather than forwarding a chain of screenshots containing different times. If the hotel wants the chauffeur to call ahead, provide a suitable reception contact and explain the request. For the return, reconfirm the pickup point and complete checkout before collection. Additional stops, waiting and a changed destination need transport approval even if a hotel staff member suggests them as a convenient option during the stay.

Prevent duplicate airport cars

If a concierge offers to arrange transport after you have submitted an Airportcab request, explain the current status. A request awaiting confirmation and a confirmed booking are different. Resolve which operator will serve the journey before approving a second arrangement, and notify the other party in accordance with any agreed conditions.

Questions about this journey

Does giving the hotel my flight number book a car?

Not by itself. Obtain a separate transport confirmation identifying the operator and agreed journey.

Can reception advise on the arrival entrance?

Yes. Ask for current instructions and pass them to the transfer team.

Will the car wait through check-in?

Only waiting that has been requested and agreed should be relied upon.
