An hourly chauffeur request is most useful when it explains the day the vehicle must support. A duration alone does not tell dispatch whether the passenger stays in Davos, visits several hotels or needs an airport journey at the beginning or end. Airportcab’s hourly chauffeur bookings have an eight-hour minimum. Within that framework, the confirmed itinerary and commercial terms define the service. This guide explains what to include before choosing an hourly arrangement.

Define the start and finish

State where the reserved service begins, the local start time and the expected final destination. If an airport pickup forms part of the day, provide the flight details and explain how it relates to the reserved period. Ask how the quoted duration is measured rather than assuming it starts whenever the passenger first enters the car. A written start and finish description makes the scope clearer for the assistant, traveller and dispatch.

List the planned movements

Provide the known addresses in order, including hotels, meeting venues and any airport leg. Mark uncertain stops as provisional rather than presenting them as confirmed requirements. An hourly booking does not make every possible destination or distance automatically included. Ask for the quotation to describe the agreed scope and how changes are handled. The provider can then assess whether one continuous reservation or separate transfers better fits the practical day.

Discuss waiting and availability

Explain the periods during which the passenger expects to be in meetings and whether the vehicle is needed between them. Lawful parking and access may influence where the chauffeur waits. Do not promise the guest that a car can remain immediately outside every door. Agree how the passenger contacts dispatch or the chauffeur when ready, and what advance notice is practical. A clear communication routine is more useful than an undefined promise of constant kerbside presence.

Plan an extension decision

Meetings can run beyond their scheduled end. Identify who may approve a service extension and ask how additional time is quoted, subject to availability. The end of one reservation may connect with other operational commitments, so extension is not automatic. If the day is likely to be longer, describe that uncertainty from the start. It is better to obtain an appropriate quotation than to book an optimistic minimum and rely on an unconfirmed continuation.

Keep event access independent

If the itinerary includes WEF-related venues, confirm the host’s current entrance instructions and the applicable official access information. An hourly reservation does not provide accreditation or unrestricted movement. The same applies to hotel handovers and private locations: obtain the relevant address and receiving contact. Once the duration, route and approval process are settled, share the final brief with the travelling guest. Fares remain on request for the individually confirmed service.
