Pischa’s official information places the mountain area in the Flüela Valley and describes access to its lower facilities from Davos. For an airport arrival, the important question is where the road journey ends and where the next service begins. A mountain station, a restaurant and a car-accessible meeting point are not interchangeable addresses, even when they all appear in the same day’s itinerary.

Get an exact lower meeting point

Ask your activity organiser to identify the road-accessible pickup or drop-off point they expect you to use. Include a precise address or location description and a contact number. Do not enter the name of a mountain restaurant as though a car can necessarily reach its entrance. The transfer team needs to review the intended approach and lawful stopping arrangement, especially if the plan involves equipment unloading or several passengers meeting another group.

Check the mountain operation for your visit

Pischa’s opening arrangements are seasonal and should be checked with the official operator. A flight booking does not establish that the onward mountain service will operate when you arrive. Avoid purchasing a tightly timed activity solely on the basis of an estimated road duration. Agree with the organiser what happens if the flight is late or the mountain plan changes, and keep the accommodation address available as a possible alternative endpoint.

If equipment will be supplied by an organiser, ask what still needs to travel from the airport. Personal boots, clothing and overnight luggage may remain significant even when activity equipment is provided. Update the vehicle inventory after that discussion rather than guessing the reduced load.

Declare equipment by its actual shape

Snowshoes, long cases, helmets and backpacks need to be included in the vehicle assessment, even when the activity does not involve conventional alpine skis. Provide the packed measurements of unusual items and say whether you also have ordinary holiday suitcases. The car is not a secure storage service for an entire mountain outing unless that service is separately arranged. Decide beforehand which bags continue with you and which need accommodation storage.

Keep transport decisions apart from activity safety

The driver can coordinate the agreed road journey but does not replace the mountain operator or activity professional. Obtain route, equipment and current-condition advice from the relevant organiser. If a group changes activity because of weather, tell dispatch about any resulting change of road destination. A revised meeting point may require a different route or quotation; it should not be assumed that the original airport booking covers every alternative mountain plan.

Write a return contingency

An airport departure after a mountain day needs a dependable way to reach the agreed car pickup point with all baggage. Allow time to collect stored suitcases and return rented items before the airport journey starts. Share one lead contact who can notify dispatch of changes. Request the fare for the full plan, including any agreed waiting or additional stop, and keep the airline’s check-in requirements separate from your activity’s finishing time.

Questions about this journey

Can I enter the Pischa summit as the drop-off?

Use a confirmed lawful road endpoint; summit access is not part of a normal airport transfer.

Are activity tickets included?

No. Arrange and confirm mountain services separately.

What if our activity changes?

Tell dispatch the revised road address before assuming the original route still applies.
